Why new music sucks

This video and this wiki article Loudness war pretty much explain and prove why I dislike most music that has been released in the last 10 years. I always thought it was the bands that sounded like shit but it turns out that the record labels were altering the final product and turning up the overall loudness which distorts the sound and dynamic range.
